WORK PERFORMED UNDER LICENSED ARCHITECT

Suburban Spec

This project began as a reworking of a planbook plan that the client had built a few times, but wanted it adjusted for a unique lot. After several meetings it became clear that there were more problems with the design than initially thought, and so the project became largely redesigned. This design allowed for specacular views from the great room and kitchen of the park and forest beyond.

sUBURBAN mODERN

Designed under a covenant in a suburb of Cottage Grove as a spec house, this residence proposes a more modern aesthetic while fulfilling the client's wishes. Completed in 2021, the house which was constructed on the cheapest lot in the subdivision sold for 50% above the average for the neighborhood.

SENIOR CARE FACILITY

Intended to be a redesign and updated of the whole facility eventually, this was a long term project working to improve the lives of seniors in the facility. I did most of the design work, all fitting within the specific parameters required by both the Oregon Specialty Code and Department of Human Services including preliminary submittals and acceptance.

PARK STRUCTURE

This project came to the office after being passed through at least 3 other designers, so the budget was tight, and the building needed to be designed in such a way that it could flood for part of the year and be fine, as the City of Monroe is partially in a flood plane. This was my first experience seeing a project I drew built, and while it wasn’t executed to the specification, its still special for that reason.
